I believe furniture should be more than just functional - it should tell a story.
I love finding forgotten pieces, giving them new life, and turning them into something beautiful, unique, and made to stand out. With a background in architecture and construction, I’ve always been drawn to good design, thoughtful details, and the way a well-designed piece can completely transform a space. Purple Cow Furniture brings all of those things together - creativity, craftsmanship, and my love for seeing the potential in something others might overlook.
The idea for Purple Cow Furniture started when my husband and I were updating our dining room. We purchased a brand-new buffet table online, and for the price, we expected a beautiful, high-quality piece. Instead, what arrived was particle board with plastic drawer pulls - and it left us wondering why we were paying so much for furniture that wasn’t built to last.
So, we tried something different.
We found a solid wood vintage piece locally, and I refinished it myself. Not only did we spend a fraction of the price, but we ended up with something better: a quality piece with character that felt completely unique to our home. That experience sparked an idea. Maybe other people were looking for the same thing - beautiful, well-made furniture that feels special without the designer price tag.
And that’s where the Purple Cow comes in.
A “purple cow” is something remarkably unique - something unexpected that catches your eye and stands out from everything around it. And that’s exactly what I want each piece I create to be.
At Purple Cow Furniture, forgotten furniture gets another chapter. Solid, quality pieces are thoughtfully transformed into one-of-a-kind finds designed to bring personality, character, and a little bit of the unexpected into your home.
Every piece is finished with premium NO-VOC paint and stain, meaning no harmful off-gassing - just a beautiful, durable finish that’s made to last and safe for kids, pets, and your home.
Because your furniture shouldn’t just fill a room.
It should be the piece you can’t stop looking at.
